Good to know

• A camera needs a recorder to save video: an NVR for IP cameras, or a DVR for analogue/Turbo HD cameras.
• You also need a surveillance hard drive in the recorder, for example WD Purple.
• IP cameras marked PoE get power and data over one network cable from a PoE switch or PoE NVR.
• A wider lens (2.8 mm) sees more of the area; a longer lens (6 mm and up) sees further but narrower.
